Some dreams don’t arrive fully formed.
They don’t crash into your life with certainty or confidence.
They arrive quietly—
as a thought during a long drive,
a conversation whispered between family members,
a feeling that something meaningful is trying to take shape.
That’s where The Dragonfly Drinkery by Stormeyes lives right now.
Not launched.
Not polished.
But very real.
This is a dream in progress, slowly and intentionally being built in Newark, Ohio, while I balance full-time college, motherhood, being a wife, healing, and life in all its beautifully imperfect forms.
Where This Dream Began
Our family spends a lot of time at parks and skate parks—especially in the warmer months. Our kids skateboard. We linger. We watch community unfold in real time.
And we kept noticing the same thing:
There weren’t great drink options nearby—especially for people who don’t want coffee.
Families would pack up, leave the moment, and drive across town just to get a fun drink.
So instead of wishing someone else would do it, a question kept returning:
What if we did?
What if we brought cozy, refreshing, feel-good drinks to where families already are? Where I can still study in down-times and when times are busy, show our kids what hard work can achieve.
What The Dragonfly Drinkery Hopes to Be
The Dragonfly Drinkery is a mobile drink trailer concept, family-run by me, my husband, and our children.
The vibe we imagine:
✨ Cozy cottage
✨ Whimsical but grounded
✨ Family-friendly and welcoming
Not flashy.
Not overwhelming.
Just warm.
Our menu focus is intentionally coffee-optional, not coffee-first, including:
- Dirty sodas
- Refreshers
- Flavored waters (Dragonfly Waters)
- Iced teas and fun tea blends
- Seasonal cocoas
Coffee options may come later—for those who want them—but the heart of this concept is for people who want something different.
Inclusivity matters deeply to us, which means planning for dairy-free and lactose-free options, with room for customization as we grow.
A Simple, Consistent Idea
One idea that keeps returning is something we’ve been calling:
🌿 Skate Park Summer Sips
A predictable weekly pop-up near the skate park area.
Same general day.
Same general time.
A rotating Drink of the Week.
The goal isn’t hype—it’s reliability.
Something families can plan around.
Something kids look forward to.
The Honest Part
Here’s where I want to be very real.
This dream exists alongside:
- Full-time college classes
- A large, active family
- Healing after profound loss
- Limited time, energy, and resources
I don’t have every answer yet.
I don’t know the fastest path forward.
But I do know this idea keeps returning—quietly, persistently—and it feels worth listening to.
For now, this dream is:
✨ Being thought through
✨ Being shaped
✨ Being held with care
A Dream With a Plan
I want to share something important—not as a pitch, but as transparency.
The Dragonfly Drinkery isn’t just a hopeful idea living in my head anymore.
The business plan is nearly complete.
The concept has been researched, outlined, revised, and written.
The steps forward are clear, even if they aren’t all accessible yet.
That doesn’t mean everything is ready.
It does mean this is a dream with intention, structure, and responsibility behind it.
It’s possible—just not fully within reach right now.
A Quiet Ask
This isn’t a request for money.
But if you’re local and reading this, and you’ve:
- Started a small business
- Operated a food or drink trailer
- Navigated permits, pop-ups, or local events
- Or simply have wisdom you’re willing to share
I would genuinely welcome guidance, insight, or encouragement.
Sometimes dreams grow best when they’re seen and supported by community. 💕
For Now, We Keep Going
The Dragonfly Drinkery isn’t open yet.
But it’s alive.
It’s thoughtful.
And it’s being built with intention.
If this dream resonates with you:
- Follow along
- Share this with someone local
- Or simply hold it with kindness and prayers
Some dreams take time—especially the ones built with care.
And this one feels like it’s meant to grow right here.
Love and Light ~Mandy
