Hello! I am Mandy and I am on a journey of healing, love, and resilience.
I am a mother of six beautiful children—three boys and three girls—who have shaped me in ways I never imagined. But my journey has been filled with both unimaginable heartbreak and incredible strength.
On January 31, 2022, my world shattered when I lost my oldest son, Garet Zachary (2/21/2002 – 1/31/2022), to fentanyl poisoning. He was a bright light, a gamer, a thinker, a smart aleck. He was curious about the world around him and a protector of those he loved. Garet was a brother, nephew, and grandson; he was a true friend, a teen boy—my son—a soul who left an unforgettable mark on this world. Losing him changed everything.
My second son, Kaden, also battled fentanyl addiction. By grace, strength, and his own resilience, he is now clean, happily married, and a stepfather to five wonderful girls. His journey has been one of redemption, and I couldn’t be more proud of the man he has become and continues to be every passing day. He is a true inspiration.
I also have four more incredible children—Kaelin, Madison, Emma, and Karleigh—who continue to give me purpose, love, and hope every single day.
Why I Started This Blog
Grief is a storm—one that comes in waves, knocks you down, and leaves you gasping for air. Some days, it feels impossible to move forward. Other days, a small light shines through. Stormeyes Enchanted was born out of my pain, my love, and my determination to find that light.
